Thieves of the Wood (De Bende van Jan de Lichte, 2020) is a Belgian historical drama series you can watch online on iFILM. Eighteenth-century Flanders runs on corruption — the courts serve the wealthy, the hungry go unheard, and dissent earns the gallows. De Lichte builds his gang from society's rejects: deserters, thieves, dispossessed farmers. Stef Aerts and Jeroen Perceval round out a cast where no one is simply righteous; every character arrived at the same crossroads and made the same desperate choice.
