Dungeons & Dragons (1983–1985) is an American animated series produced by Marvel Productions — watch all episodes online on iFILM. The show ran for three seasons and 27 episodes before ending without a resolution, which is part of what makes it memorable.

Six teenagers board a theme-park ride and arrive in a fantasy realm controlled by the sorcerer Venger. Each kid is handed a magical weapon by the Dungeon Master — a bow, a helmet, a staff, a shield, a club, a cloak — and told, vaguely, that there's a way home. What follows is a season-by-season journey through monsters, moral dilemmas and a villain who never quite loses his menace.

The show was darker than most children's animation of its era: characters faced real consequences, side characters died, and the series dealt in genuine suspense rather than guaranteed happy endings.
