Synopsis
Shantaram (2022), Season 1 is a 12-episode crime drama you can watch online on iFILM, adapted from Gregory David Roberts' novel. Lin Ford, an escaped Australian convict, tries to vanish into 1980s Bombay.
Vanishing proves impossible. Lin settles in the Sagar Wada slum, becomes its unlicensed doctor, and collects ties that drag him deeper — a brotherhood with the rickshaw driver Prabhu, a charged pull toward the guarded Karla, the orbit of crime boss Khader Khan and Madame Zhou's brothel. The season runs Lin through a cholera outbreak, Maurizio's treachery, and a reporter named Kavita inching toward his real name. Then his past rolls in with the policeman Nightingale, and the quiet life is over.
