Synopsis
The Innocent Man (2018) is a six-part documentary series you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by J. Clay Tweel, it adapts John Grisham's only non-fiction book — an account of two murders that tore through Ada, a small Oklahoma town, in the 1980s.
Two men were convicted. The series questions whether either of them actually did it. Tweel lays out how the investigations unfolded: pressure tactics, disputed confessions, witnesses whose credibility collapsed under scrutiny. What emerges is a portrait of a justice system in a small town that needed closure more than it needed the truth.
