Synopsis

The Batman (2004), Season 1 is an animated series you can watch online on iFILM — thirteen episodes that catch Bruce Wayne early, still figuring out the cape while Gotham meets its dark vigilante for the first time.

The season builds its rogues gallery almost from scratch. The Joker breaks out of Arkham first, threatening to poison the city, and from there each episode rolls out a new threat: the Penguin, a steroid-fueled Bane, a Catwoman who lifts Batman's utility belt, the Man-Bat, Mr. Freeze, Clayface. Meanwhile the law is chasing Batman himself — Detective Ethan Bennett, Bruce's friend, and his partner Ellen Yin are assigned to unmask the man behind the cowl. By the finale, the feud with the Joker turns sharper and more personal.
