Synopsis
The Killing of Two Lovers (2021) is Robert Machoian's taut drama-thriller, ready to watch online on iFILM. In a small rural Utah town, David — a father of four — is trying to hold his marriage together while his wife Nikki starts seeing someone else.
The couple agreed to a trial separation, but David soon realizes he can't just stand by and watch. Clayne Crawford plays him as a quiet, courteous man wound impossibly tight, one wrong word away from snapping; Sepideh Moafi is Nikki, caught between guilt and the pull of a fresh start. Machoian shoots it as a hushed, claustrophobic chamber piece — there's almost no score, just abrupt clattering sound design doing the dread, and a boxed-in 4:3 frame that traps its lead.
