Mia enrolls at a prestigious German university with a cover story and a private agenda. She's tracking a connection between a family tragedy she survived and Professor Tanja Lorenz, a visionary biologist whose research into genetic manipulation runs well ahead of any regulatory framework. Luna Wedler plays Mia with a coiled alertness — every scene she's performing two things at once. Jessica Schwarz gives Lorenz a cold intellectual confidence that's more unsettling than any conventional villain turn would be. The show moves between campus life and the question of how far a scientist can go before the experiment stops being science.
