Synopsis
Moscow Mission (2023) is a Chinese crime-action film you can watch online on iFILM. It grows out of real robberies from the early nineties: the K3 train runs from Beijing to Moscow across all of Siberia, and gangs work that route with theft and blood to spare.
To shut them down, Chinese police send their own detectives across the border. Zhang Hanyu leads a team through unfamiliar cities, a language they don't speak, and a country where they have no authority and no backup. Huang Xuan and Andy Lau sit on opposite sides of the hunt, and it takes a while to read who's who. Director Herman Yau stages the action inside cramped train cars and on snowed-in platforms, where there's nowhere much to run.
