High School High

High School High (1996) is an American spoof comedy you can watch online on iFILM, produced by the same team behind Airplane! and Hot Shots!. Director Hart Bochner takes aim at the whole noble-teacher-in-a-bad-school genre — and fires broadly.

Richard Clark quits the prestigious Wellington Academy to teach at Marion Barry High, where the students average a D, the staff turnover runs five teachers a week, and the principal, played by Louise Fletcher, never lets go of her club. Clark walks in convinced that attitude and heart are enough. The school disagrees. Jon Lovitz plays the whole thing with such committed deadpan that every genre cliché lands harder than it has any right to.

Tia Carrere rounds out the cast as a fellow teacher who becomes Clark's ally — a romance subplot the script happily runs into the ground for laughs. The film is broad, fast, and doesn't pretend to be anything else. Stream High School High (1996) online on iFILM.
