Synopsis
Rebound: The Legend of Earl 'The Goat' Manigault (1996) — watch online on iFILM — is HBO's dramatization of a story Harlem never forgot. Don Cheadle plays Earl Manigault, a street basketball talent so exceptional that his reputation in New York ran alongside the professionals heading to the NBA.
The film traces the full arc without softening it. The jump that gave him the nickname. The addiction. Prison. The long road back to those same Harlem courts, no longer as a player but as someone trying to give something to the kids still there. The youth tournament he started in his neighborhood still runs in his name.
