Synopsis
In/Spectre (虚構推理, 2020) is a Japanese anime series you can watch online on iFILM. As a child, Kotoko Iwanaga agreed to a yokai deal: become their Goddess of Wisdom — the one human the supernatural world brings its disputes to — in exchange for her right eye and left leg.
Her unlikely partner is Kuro Sakuragawa, a college student who seems ordinary right up until you notice that every supernatural creature he encounters is terrified of him. Why that is takes time to emerge. Together they handle cases that can't go to any court because the evidence is a ghost. What makes the series worth watching is its central twist: Kotoko doesn't solve mysteries by finding the truth — she constructs a fiction believable enough to make everyone accept it.
