Synopsis
The Woman Who Ran (2020) is a Korean drama from Hong Sang-soo, available to watch online on iFILM. With her husband away on a business trip for the first time in five years of marriage, Gamhee — played by Kim Min-hee — drops in on three friends scattered around Seoul.
Don't expect a plot in the usual sense. What you get is conversation. One friend talks about a difficult neighbour, another about a relationship that soured, and the third, met by chance at a cinema, stirs up an old grievance. The talk stays gentle and ordinary, yet something restless keeps moving beneath the surface, never quite spoken aloud. Hong lets the camera linger, eavesdrop and zoom in, and his deadpan humour hides inside that studied plainness.
