Influencer (2023) is a Canadian horror-thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Kurtis David Harder and filmed on location in Thailand, where the actual islands do more atmospheric work than most production designers could manage on a set.

Madison is a social media influencer traveling solo — the kind of trip that looks perfect in stories and feels hollow in person. On the beach she meets CW, a woman who moves through the world with a lightness Madison can't quite place: no phone out, no itinerary, no obvious anxieties. CW offers to take her somewhere remote, away from the crowds. Madison goes. That decision is where the film's tagline — "Be careful who you follow" — stops being clever and starts being literal.
