Synopsis
The Sheepman (1958) is an American western comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by George Marshall and starring Glenn Ford and Shirley MacLaine. A self-assured stranger named Jason Sweet rides into a Texas cattle town and immediately drives a flock of sheep down the main street. The ranchers are outraged. Sweet is amused.
Local boss Clyde (Leslie Nielsen, playing it straight and menacing) wants him gone by sundown. Sweet wants the same range — and the same woman Clyde is courting. Marshall builds the comedy on the gap between Sweet's total calm and everyone else's fury, and Ford plays unflappable better than almost anyone working in westerns that decade.
