Come True

Come True (2020) is a Canadian science-fiction horror film you can watch online on iFILM, written and directed by Anthony Scott Burns. Julia Sarah Stone plays Sarah, eighteen years old, sleeping in a park because going home isn't an option, and every night the same dark figures walk toward her through her dreams.

She signs up for a university sleep study — sensors, sterile corridors, grainy monochrome printouts of her dream imagery. It feels like a solution. It isn't. The researchers show her images she recognises but has never described to anyone, and the study's lead scientist (Landon Liboiron) clearly knows more than the consent forms disclosed. The experiment keeps going. The dreams get worse.

Burns builds dread slowly and without telegraphing: synth-heavy score, cold monitor glow, a persistent sense that the line between what's real and what's projected got crossed well before the film began.
