Synopsis
Salaam Namaste (2005) is a Bollywood romantic comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Two young Indians have built new lives in Melbourne, half a world from home. Nick runs a kitchen and dreams of opening his own café; Ambar hosts a morning radio show. They bicker on air before they ever meet in person, then agree to share an apartment — living together, no wedding, no strings.
The casual arrangement works right up until Ambar discovers she's pregnant. What follows is everything neither of them signed up for: a shared home, the panic of becoming parents, and the conversation they both kept dodging. Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta lead, with Arshad Warsi and Javed Jaffrey alongside them and a cameo from Abhishek Bachchan.
This was one of the first big Hindi films to talk openly about unmarried couples living together, yet it stays breezy, full of songs and Australian sunlight.
