Synopsis
Three Steps Over Heaven (Tre metri sopra il cielo, 2004) is Luca Lucini's Italian teen romance, available to watch online on iFILM. A straight-A girl from a good home and a wild boy from the street fall hard for each other, against every rule that says they shouldn't.
Babi is eighteen, top of her class, waiting for the knight she's read about. Step is nineteen, a runaway who races motorbikes and brawls at illegal fights. The two worlds collide and instantly despise each other. Then comes a single year together that rewrites both of them: she's drawn into his reckless chaos, while he, for the first time, has someone holding him steady. Riccardo Scamarcio plays Step, the role that launched his Italian film career.
It's adapted from Federico Moccia's debut novel, a book teenagers were copying out by hand before the cameras ever rolled. Lucini never pretends the ending will be kind, and that's the point: a first love that burns precisely because it can't last.
