Season 2
Who would have thought retirement could be so chaotic?
Synopsis
One Foot in the Grave, Season 2 brings the BBC sitcom back for six more episodes you can watch online on iFILM. Victor and Margaret come home from holiday, and the universe wastes no time making them miserable.
It starts brutally: their luggage is now on the far side of the planet, and their house has burned to the ground. From there the disasters pile up the way only this show manages. Victor decides he's a writer and takes a swing at comedy — though nobody else shares his idea of what's funny. He dusts off an old ventriloquist act for a benefit concert, gets saddled with a goddaughter's tortoise, and somehow ends up suspected of doing in a blind old man. The run closes on a sleepless night where a string of absurd nuisances, a dead hedgehog among them, keeps both Meldrews wide awake.
David Renwick is still writing, Richard Wilson and Annette Crosbie still bickering. The black humour is darker here, the surreal touches sharper, and Victor's exasperation has fully become the show's signature. Stream One Foot in the Grave Season 2 online on iFILM.
