Synopsis
The First 48 (2004) Season 26 is a true-crime documentary, nine episodes, and you can watch it online on iFILM — homicide units worked through the two days that decide a case.
The cases come out of Tulsa, Mobile, Atlanta and Minneapolis. A young Atlanta father whose gift for computers pulled him in over his head is shot dead on a Mobile street. A 69-year-old woman is found dead in her bathtub, and the suspect drags Tulsa detectives into a high-speed chase that ends badly. An SUV from a late-night meeting tears through a child's bedroom; a thread of social-media messages leads straight to the killers of a 17-year-old. Phones, camera footage and long interrogations do the work, sometimes with a suspect who is fighting for his own life.
The finale asks something this show rarely does: a Minneapolis bus camera films a shooting outside a church — was it self-defense? A&E offers no answer and no score, only scenes, autopsies and questioning. Season 26 is worth watching for that ambiguity. Stream The First 48 Season 26 online on iFILM.

Inside The Tape Special #16
Season Finale A surveillance camera on a Minneapolis bus captures a shooting outside a church. The footage leaves detectives wondering if the shooter acted in self-defense. Surveillance cameras at a Minneapolis convenience store capture more than just the shooting. Footage suggests vital DNA may have been left in the store by the shooter himself. Then, surveillance footage in Atlanta shows a man carrying a box moments before he is shot. Detective Tracy Casey must determine if the box's contents holds the key to determining motive. Additional Minneapolis surveillance cameras capture the shooting of a young man in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood. But detectives need the help of the Somali community to identify the shooters in the video.
