Synopsis
Warriors of Future (2022) is a Hong Kong sci-fi action spectacle you can watch online on iFILM. The year is 2055, the planet is choking on pollution, and a meteor brings down an alien plant called Pandora. It spreads at terrifying speed, consuming everything in its path, people included.
A suicide squad has only hours to reach the core of the overgrowth and shut it down before it swallows their post-apocalyptic megacity whole. Trouble brews inside the unit too: the orders from above don't match what the soldiers see on the ground. Louis Koo not only stars but also produced the film, with Sean Lau and Carina Lau beside him. Mech suits, killer drones, pouring rain and neon — the look squeezes everything it can from the budget.
First-time director Ng Yuen-Fai came up through visual effects, and it shows: the spectacle is the main event, the plot a notch simpler. One of the most expensive Hong Kong productions ever made, it bets the house on sheer scale. Stream Warriors of Future (2022) online on iFILM.
