Synopsis
Saga of Tanya the Evil: The Movie (劇場版 幼女戦記, 2019) is a Japanese animated fantasy action film you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Yutaka Uemura, the film picks up after Major Tanya Degurechaff's 203rd Air Mage Battalion crushes the Republic's last forces in the south — UC 1926, and a rest period seems finally earned. It isn't.
New orders send them to the Empire-Federation border almost immediately, while the Allied Kingdom dispatches its own multinational force into Federation territory. Among those volunteers is Warrant Officer Mary Sue, there for one reason: revenge for her father, killed by the Empire. The film builds toward a direct confrontation between her and Tanya — two dangerous people with entirely different reasons to be on the same battlefield.
Aoi Yuuki voices Tanya and Haruka Tomatsu plays Mary Sue; both performances push the theatrical action sequences harder than the TV series managed.
