Synopsis
BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai (2026), Season 1 is a Japanese action anime — 13 episodes you can watch online on iFILM. The greatest father-and-son fight is over, and the Underground Arena's strongest are dying of boredom.
While they idle, a secret project finishes 364 meters below Tokyo Skytree: the revival of Miyamoto Musashi, the swordsman Japan still calls its greatest. He wakes in the present and demands the best fighters in the country. They line up. Kaoru Hanayama trades fists with him on Tokyo's streets, Doppo Orochi asks for a real blade, Sea King Retsu trains the Xiaoli technique and pays for it dearly, and jujutsu master Goki Shibukawa answers a handshake with a punch. Then Yujiro himself steps forward — and tells the samurai to come at him with two swords.
Adapted from Keisuke Itagaki's manga, this season keeps the franchise's grotesque anatomy and brutal close-quarters fights, but swaps the usual monster for cold steel. Fist against katana, the question is simple: can anyone modern even touch a man who cuts faster than you can swing? Stream BAKI-DOU Season 1 online on iFILM.
