Detective Hu Bayi and his companions are carrying an ancient curse, and only one thing can lift it: a bead buried inside King Xian's tomb, deep in a valley crawling with creatures. The team descends into a maze of traps, exploding insects, stone mechanisms and ghostly visions, where the emperor's rest has been guarded for centuries. Director Dai Yilin leans into the underground mood — narrow passages, flickering light, the sense that the walls are about to close in.
