Synopsis
Valhalla is a 1986 Danish animated film directed by Peter Madsen and Jeffrey James Varab — watch it online on iFILM. Two ordinary Viking-age children accidentally wander into Asgard, putting them face to face with Norse gods who are far louder and more chaotic than any legend suggested.
Rune and Tyra are pulled into a world of hammers, scheming, and divine trouble, most of it caused by Loki. Thor is imposing on a good day; Loki makes sure every day is a bad one. The story mixes humor with the genuine strangeness of Norse mythology — Odin is watchful, Freya is warm, and the whole realm runs on barely managed chaos.
The film grew out of the enormously popular Danish comic series that Madsen helped create starting in 1979, beloved across Scandinavia for treating the old sagas with irreverence rather than reverence. Stream Valhalla (1986) online on iFILM.
