Georges, a wealthy Parisian, has a mistress and no plans to divorce: his wife Marian controls the money. When the mistress finds this out and threatens to expose the affair, Georges recruits a stranger named Maurice to impersonate his wife and scare her off. Then the mistress's jealous boyfriend shows up. Then Georges has to put on a dress himself. Nothing goes remotely as planned.
