Bliss

Bliss (2021) — watch online a science-fiction drama written and directed by Mike Cahill, starring Owen Wilson and Salma Hayek. Greg is freshly divorced, just fired, adrift — and then a chance encounter with a stranger named Isabel reshapes everything. She insists the city around them is a computer simulation. Isabel hands Greg crystals that seem to let him bend the rules of the fake reality, and eventually shows him that other world: warm, luminous, frictionless. The film holds its central question without flinching — which version is real, the broken one with debt and a worried daughter, or the radiant one that feels too good to examine closely? Cahill, who previously made Another Earth, again uses sci-fi as a frame for grief and the appeal of escape. Philosopher Slavoj Zizek appears briefly as himself.
