Friendsgiving

Friendsgiving (2020) is an American comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Newly divorced actress Molly (Malin Åkerman) and her freshly dumped best friend Abby (Kat Dennings) plan a quiet, low-key Thanksgiving for two. Quiet is not what they get.

One by one the uninvited pile in: Molly's eccentric mother (Jane Seymour), a sketchy new love interest, exes, half-strangers, and a clutch of friends who can barely stand one another. The turkey burns, relationships fray, and secrets spill out right over the dinner table. A couple of cameos stir the chaos — Wanda Sykes and Margaret Cho turn up as a pair of unlikely fairy godmothers.

This is the directing debut of comic actress Nicol Paone, a holiday mess about the family you choose rather than the one you're stuck with. The humor runs crude in spots and the plot is loose, but the cast carries it: the Åkerman–Dennings chemistry holds the whole thing together.
