Synopsis
The Tank (2023) is a creature horror you can watch online on iFILM, written and directed by Scott Walker. In 1978, Ben inherits a coastal property in Oregon from his late mother — a place she never once mentioned while she was alive. Luciane Buchanan and Matt Whelan take the leads.
Ben drives out from California with his wife Jules and their young daughter to look the place over. The house has sat empty for four decades, and it comes with a hidden cove and a reservoir cut straight into the rock. While the family cleans the place up, Jules digs into why Ben's mother buried its existence. Down in the flooded caves beneath the house, the thing she was hiding starts to stir. It isn't hungry. It's defending its ground.
New Zealander Walker bets on the old way instead of jump scares: cramped wet tunnels, slick stone, a creature you rarely see whole. The monster is a hand-built animatronic, and the practical texture shows in every shot. No grand ambitions here, just a solid throwback for anyone who misses eighties-era monster movies, where the fear comes from darkness and sound rather than pixels.
