Synopsis

Blue Eye Samurai (2023), Season 1 — watch online on iFILM: eight episodes of Netflix's animated action drama set in Edo-period Japan. Mizu is a master swordfighter whose blue eyes mark her as an outcast before she ever draws a blade.

She has four targets: the European men whose existence she was made to pay for. Getting to them means cutting through assassins, aristocrats, brothels, and castle walls. A young man named Ringo latches on and refuses to leave. Princess Akemi's thread runs parallel — her trap is marriage and expectation, not bloodshed, but the need to escape it is just as sharp. The season builds toward Fowler, an arms dealer whose ambitions for Edo go far beyond any personal score.
