18+Season 3
Synopsis
The Movies That Made Us, Season 3 (2021) — six episodes to watch online on iFILM. Four of the six films are horror or sci-fi, and every production story matches the on-screen chaos.
Halloween was built on a shoestring by a young team led by John Carpenter, who directed, edited, and scored the film himself. Friday the 13th started as a deliberate Halloween knock-off and somehow became its own landmark in the genre. Nightmare on Elm Street put Wes Craven and his entire studio on the line — Freddy Krueger paid them both back. Paul Verhoeven shot RoboCop on a tight budget and a suit that nearly incapacitated the lead actor; the result is a satire of corporate America wrapped in an action film. James Cameron drove a visibly stressed crew through Aliens on minimal resources to produce what insiders call the mother of all sequels. Coming to America closes the season on a lighter register, though the legal battles and on-set tension suggest otherwise — Eddie Murphy at his peak, lawsuits before the credits.
Season 3 goes darker than the first two combined: more risk on screen, more conflict off it, and the candid stories insiders finally tell. Stream Season 3 of The Movies That Made Us online on iFILM.
