Synopsis
The Protector (Hakan: Muhafız, 2018), Season 1 — watch online on iFILM. Netflix's Turkish fantasy-action series runs ten episodes, and it begins the day an Istanbul shopkeeper named Hakan learns he's the city's last Protector, bound to an ancient order.
It starts with a talismanic shirt he only meant to sell. What he gets instead is a prophecy: he alone can stop the Immortal who has been creeping toward the heart of Istanbul for centuries. Season 1 is a crash course in destiny. Hakan doubts it, bolts from it, falls for the wrong person at the worst time — and still has to hunt down the order's relics, the ring, the stone, the dagger, one by one. Zeynep, raised on these legends, has little patience for his recklessness. On the other side stands Faysal Erdem, a polished tycoon whose glossy Hagia Sophia project masks something far older and far hungrier. The closer the finale gets, the more Hakan's heart-led choices cost him.
