Dept. Q (2025), Season 1 is a nine-episode crime drama you can watch online on iFILM, set in a grey, rain-soaked Edinburgh. DCI Carl Morck comes back to work after a shooting that nearly killed him and lands an odd posting: a basement, a stack of dead files, and a brand-new cold-case unit nobody else wanted.
The first case he picks won't let go. A prosecutor vanished years ago, and the trail loops back to a doomed ferry crossing toward the Isle of Mhòr. A team slowly forms around him — Akram, the quiet assistant with his own past, and Rose, who pushes her way into the department whether Carl likes it or not. The deeper they dig, the more his personal demons bleed into the job, and his reckless accusations against powerful men turn him into a target. A decades-old recording finally lines up the clues, but the clock is almost out.
