Synopsis
Nobody Wants This (2024), Season 1 is a 10-episode Netflix rom-com you can watch online on iFILM. Joanne, an agnostic who hosts a blunt podcast about love and sex, meets Noah at a party — a charming rabbi fresh out of a long relationship. The spark is instant.
The whole season asks whether that spark can survive real life. Joanne jokes about her sex life to a national audience; Noah is building a career at a synagogue that expects him to bring home the "right" kind of partner. A first date detour to a sex shop, an awkward run-in with her family, a suspicious little box in his bedroom, the steady pressure from his mother and sister — every episode hands the couple a fresh test of how well they actually fit. A side thread follows Noah's brother Sasha and his wife Morgan, and it gives the story room to breathe. By the end the question gets blunt: are these two willing to reshape their lives for each other?
