Synopsis

Cameron enlists on impulse, chasing his best friend Ray to Parris Island, and the next three months take both of them apart. He hides who he is from the platoon and asks himself each morning whether he'll make it. Ray nearly goes under during swim week. Brothers John and Cody haul old family wounds onto the island. Drill instructors press hard, the rifle range frays nerves, and a closing gauntlet called the Crucible can't be passed alone.
