Synopsis

1982. Her mother's body. A family fortune in Krugerrands — gold her grandmother smuggled out of Communist Hungary — has gone missing, and Nadia wants it back. Every answer she digs up opens a deeper question about what actually gets passed down through a family. Alan, meanwhile, finds his own door: East Berlin, his own lineage to reckon with. Two people pulling on opposite ends of the same thread.
