Synopsis
Black Summer (2019), Season 1 is Netflix's bare-knuckle zombie thriller you can watch online on iFILM — eight episodes set in the first frantic weeks of the outbreak, when the dead are fast and mercy is gone.
A mother named Rose gets separated from her daughter during a panicked evacuation and starts walking across an overrun town toward a stadium said to be safe. Strangers fall in beside her: a quiet soldier hiding behind a borrowed name, a Korean woman who speaks no English, a teenager out of his depth. The chapters loop back on each other, replaying the same minutes from different eyes, and every run-in with the living turns out worse than the dead.
Where its cousin Z Nation cracked jokes, this season plays it dry — long handheld takes, almost no score, sudden silence. Some reach the stadium. Some don't. Stream Black Summer Season 1 online on iFILM.
