It starts with a wrinkle. One line on the king of the gods' forehead, and almighty Zeus decides the prophecy of his downfall has begun. He grows paranoid, jealous, dangerous. Far below, three mortals go about their ordinary days without knowing they are the ones who will bend that prophecy: Orpheus chasing his wife into the Underworld, Ariadne begging her father for redemption, a quiet rebellion taking shape among the dead. A missing watch, an overheard secret, a barbecue for the gods — each small thing pulls the next into motion.
