Synopsis

After their father dies, a mother and her three children move to a quiet town — one where kids have been vanishing without a trace for months. To survive and make sense of it, the family has to unravel a local legend about the figure who comes for children in the dark. The film leans on dread far more than on jump scares.
It draws on the Spanish folk tale of "the man with the sack" and the grim story of a tuberculosis sufferer who believed children's blood could cure him. Javier Botet, the contortionist performer from Mama and IT, gives the creature a genuinely unnerving body. A slow-burn folk horror for viewers who prefer unease over spectacle.
