Synopsis
Max Steel (2016) is a sci-fi action adventure you can watch online on iFILM. A teenager moves to a new town and learns his own body generates an energy powerful enough to either save the planet or blow it apart.
Max McGrath struggles to fit in and barely remembers his scientist father, who died when he was small. One day a strange force starts pouring out of him, and that's when Steel turns up — a chatty techno-organic alien who knows how to keep that power in check. Together the two fuse into a turbo-charged hero. Ben Winchell plays Max, Josh Brener voices Steel, and Andy Garcia and Maria Bello take the adult roles guarding old family secrets.
The movie grew out of Mattel's toy line and the animated series of the same name, and it shows: the plot is simple, the action modest, the whole thing aimed squarely at younger teens. It never reaches for greatness, but as a light adventure about a boy and an alien learning to trust each other, it does the job for a family night in. Stream Max Steel (2016) online on iFILM.
