Freedom

Freedom (Libre, 2024) is a crime drama directed by Mélanie Laurent, and you can watch it online on iFILM. It follows Bruno Sulak, the robber who lit up France in the 1980s and earned comparisons to a modern-day Arsène Lupin.

Sulak emptied supermarkets and jewelry stores without ever spilling blood — he carried a weapon but leaned on charm and nerve instead of firing it. His cat-and-mouse game with the law turned into a national spectacle: every time the police locked him up, he slipped away again, racing back to his lover and partner Annie. The longer the chase ran, the more the country split between those who branded him public enemy number one and those who saw a folk hero who refused to be caged. Lucas Bravo plays Sulak, with Yvan Attal as the inspector who can't quite catch him.

Laurent skips the dry case file and builds something warmer and sadder — a portrait of a man whose hunger for freedom keeps tightening the trap around him.
