Synopsis

He lands at Slough House, the desk-job exile where the Service parks agents it can't quite fire. Jackson Lamb runs the place: rude, unkempt, and considerably smarter than he looks. The work is supposed to be dull. Then a student gets kidnapped and a livestreamed execution looms, and Britain's least-wanted spies are suddenly the only people paying the right kind of attention. Taverner sends the Dogs in to shut them down. River still has a card to play.
