Synopsis
"Planet of the Humans" (2019) is a documentary you can watch online on iFILM — directed by Jeff Gibbs and produced by Michael Moore. The film goes after the idea that clean energy is already saving us.
Gibbs visits solar installations, wind farms and electric vehicle campaigns and keeps asking the same question: what actually powers these things, and who profits when the public believes they do not? The film argues the answer involves a great deal of fossil fuels and money flowing through environmental organizations in uncomfortable directions. Released free on YouTube, it immediately drew calls for removal from groups who disputed its data.
