Generation Wealth (2018) is a documentary by Lauren Greenfield you can watch online on iFILM, built from 25 years of her photographs chronicling our obsession with money and status.

Greenfield digs back through her own archive, from the 1970s to the 2010s, asking when wealth became the measure of a person. Onscreen: fugitive financier Florian Homm, novelist Bret Easton Ellis, kids chasing luxury, and famous faces like Kim Kardashian. She also turns the lens on herself — on her workaholism and what it costs the people at home.

The result is a portrait of an era hooked on image, where people who can't reach real money settle for its trappings, on credit, whatever the price.
