Synopsis
The Diabolical (2015) is an American horror-sci-fi hybrid directed by Alistair Legrand — watch it online on iFILM. Ali Larter plays Madison, a single mother whose suburban house develops a problem that paranormal investigators show up for, look at, and promptly refuse to handle.
Whatever is appearing in the home grows more aggressive each time. Madison's scientist boyfriend, played by Arjun Gupta, steps in when the ghost-hunters won't, and the two try to pin down a rational explanation. That search takes the 86-minute film somewhere genuinely unexpected: the creature's nature turns out to have less to do with the supernatural than the title implies, and the reveal reframes everything.
