Synopsis
Initial D Legend 1: Awakening (2014) is the opening chapter of the rebooted Initial D trilogy you can watch online on iFILM. Director Masamitsu Hidaka takes the franchise back to basics: Mount Akina, a winding mountain pass, and a white AE86 Trueno running tofu deliveries at dawn.
Takumi Fujiwara has been threading those hairpins since before he had a license — his father's shop runs on early-morning mountain roads. He doesn't know about the RedSuns from Akagi, and he doesn't especially care. But when the Akina SpeedStars lose their driver, the tofu shop's AE86 rolls to the starting line anyway.
