Synopsis
Guns for San Sebastian (1967) is a sweeping western with Anthony Quinn you can watch online on iFILM. In 1746 Mexico, a fugitive bandit named Leon Alastray is mistaken for a priest by a frightened village.
San Sebastian sits half-deserted under raids by the Yaqui, its people hiding in the hills rather than fight. Alastray is no holy man and wants nothing to do with the part — until an apparent miracle convinces the villagers the monk is genuine. Bit by bit he teaches the cowed farmers to hold a rifle and defend their own ground. Beside Quinn stands a young Charles Bronson as the scheming half-breed Teclo.
This French-Italian-Mexican production was shot on the scale of a big Hollywood western, scored by Ennio Morricone. Solid '60s adventure cinema about how a handful of beaten-down people turns into an army. Stream Guns for San Sebastian (1967) online on iFILM.
