Synopsis
The Last Adventure (Les Aventuriers, 1967) is Robert Enrico's adventure drama, available to watch online on iFILM. Pilot Manu (Alain Delon) and mechanic Roland (Lino Ventura) are friends hooked on speed and oversized dreams, from flying under an arch to striking it rich.
When their latest scheme collapses, they grab at a fresh lead: a crashed plane full of money is said to lie on the seabed off the Congo coast. Together with a young sculptor, Laetitia (Joanna Shimkus), they set out to recover the loot. What starts as easy camaraderie and the thrill of the chase grows costlier the nearer they get — the treasure hunt quietly turns into a story about friendship, loss and the bill that comes due.
Enrico didn't make an action picture but a wistful ballad about three dreamers, which is exactly why it became a cult favourite in France, its final stand at an offshore fort now textbook stuff.
