Todd Walkley (Jesse Williams) made his name on Slasherman, a character drawn from an actual murderer. With his publisher Ezra — played by the film's director, Jay Baruchel — and his partner (Jordana Brewster), he drives toward the town where the real killer once struck. New bodies pile up along the way, staged to match his panels frame for frame. The longer it goes, the harder it gets for Todd to pretend he was only telling a story.
