Synopsis

Burt Wonderstone has been running the same tired Vegas headline show for twenty years: sequins, doves, a smile that stopped reaching his eyes sometime in the early 2000s. When his longtime partner walks out and a pain-obsessed street illusionist — Carrey at full chaotic throttle — starts drawing the crowds Burt used to own, the illusion of his career collapses faster than a bad card trick. His only lifeline is a retired legend played by Arkin, who reminds him why any of it mattered.
