Are We Ok?

Are We Ok? (Tamam mıyız?, 2013), a Turkish drama-comedy, is available to watch online on iFILM. Director Çağan Irmak — widely known in Turkey for emotionally precise family films — tells the story of two men who have each managed to reach their lowest point at exactly the same time, and then happen to collide.

Temmuz (Deniz Celiloğlu) is an openly gay sculptor-turned-children's-book illustrator in Istanbul. He gets dumped via email and loses his job in the same week. Ihsan (Aras Bulut İynemli) was born without limbs, lives with his mother, and has turned his resentment of that fact into something close to a vocation. They meet by accident on a bus. Neither is ready for the other. Surmru Yavrucuk and Aslı Enver round out the cast.
